New England (9-5) have lost two games in a row that started with the miracle finish in Miami. Those loses have postponed them winning the AFC East. Though a win today or a Dolphins loss will get the job done.

The recent cold streak by Tom Brady and company means their postseason schedule could feature one or two games on the road. Kansas City and Los Angeles are in the driver’s seat for the top seeds in the AFC.

Buffalo (5-9) are evaluating talent at this point and bringing rookie quarterback Josh Allen along.

One of the big knocks against Allen has been his throwing. While Allen’s ground scampers have been effective, he’s yet to throw for 300 yards this season.

Buffalo’s top running back LeSean McCoy is unlikely to play today against the Patriots due to injury.

Jaguars vs Dolphins

Jaguars vs Dolphins ; A postseason ticket for the Miami Dolphins took a huge blow last week. Now what’s left of their hopes, which isn’t much, will be on the line today against the struggling Jacksonville Jaguars.

Miami (7-7) needed to beat the Vikings last week and push their record above .500 in the race for one of two AFC Wild Card spots. Instead they got blown out 41-17 and watch their hopes of the Playoffs nearly evaporate.

The only hope for the Dolphins, which already took a big blow with the Titans and Ravens winning on Saturday, is for them to win out and the three teams in front of them to lose out.

At least the Dolphins have that sliver of hope. Jacksonville (4-10) has had a miserable season and could be drafting a quarterback this offseason the way the position has failed them.

It hasn’t help the Jags that star running back Leonard Fournette has mixed six games and limped off the field last weekend against the Redskins. Without him, the Jaguars offense is virtually incapable of moving the ball.

Giants vs Colts

Giants vs Colts : The pressure is now on Andrew Luck and the Colts in today’s NFL football game against the New York Giants following a Ravens win last night. They have to win today to keep pace in the AFC Wild Card race.

The Colts (8-6) have won four of their last five games and scored at least 20 points in each victory. Apart from the unexpected 6-0 defeat against the Jaguars, this team that started 1-5 is now in the hunt for a Wild Card spot.

Overall the Colts have won seven of eight and are one of the hottest teams in the NFL. To reach the postseason, they need the Ravens to lose their final game and the Colts must win out. A loss today means elimination as Baltimore holds the tiebreaker.

The NY Giants (5-9) will be weary of the Colts defense who will be locked onto rookie quarterback Saquon Barkley. Last week that defense held Ezekiel Elliott to 87 yards, which is a victory considering the way Elliott has played of late.

Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. did not practice this week and is expected to miss his third consecutive game due to injury.

Vikings vs Lions

Vikings vs Lions : The Minnesota Vikings will be coming after Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions today as these NFC North foes meet for the final time this season on Fox Sports TV. If Minnesota gets to Stafford like they did Ryan Tannehill last week then it will be a long day for Lions fans.

Last week the Vikings (7-6-1) sacked Ryan Tannehill nine times en route to routing the Dolphins and keeping pace in the race for an NFC Wild Card spot.

Overall this season the Vikings have 47 sacks, more than any other NFL team. With a secondary that’s also one of the best in the league, opposing offensives are struggling to put up many points on this Vikings defense.

That’s bad news for Stafford and the Lions (5-9), an underachieving team that has struggled most of the season. When Stafford played at Minnesota last month, he was sacked an amazing 10 times in that game.
